Music and treasures....what does that mean? Well, the music I have listed here is not only music that has been inspiring me, but also challenging me. First on my list is Audrey Assad's album "The House You're Building." Such a wonderful mix of guitar and piano, with her beautiful voice and lyrics that change one's heart. I LOVE this album! I listen to it all the time, and have found the songs to be comforting, challenging and worshipful.
Next up is a treasure. I love photography and the art that people have made of it, yet sometimes I lose sight of how wonderful it really is. Often when I need to go back to the plain joy of photography I look at Laura Dart's photographic art. She photographed Audrey Assad's album cover, as well as photos for Jeremy Camp, Andrew Belle, Joy Williams (of The Civil Wars), and Laura is a former Intern of Sarah Barlow's! Her artwork is amazing and it truly is a treasure. It brings one, "back to the basics." She has a stunning vintage feel to her photos that does not seem faked. It is warm, homey, and genuine.
Ok, so I don't know what you all think of old looking lockets, but I adore them! They are definitely treasures to me. Once again, I feel they have a vintage, warm, genuine feel that brings one back in time. I found this locket on etsy (greatness!), and think it is beautiful!
My next bit of music is Jeremy Larson's new album. This album is more inspirational that anything. I love listening to it as I edit photos or as I am brainstorming creative ideas. Each song has an almost haunting feeling that makes me think of rainy days. Love this project!
I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon! I'm going to drink some tea and hit the books for a bit of studying.
God Bless,
Megs
