- The Daily Photo: Exodus -

Hey everyone!
I mentioned this already, but with being out at camp the blog will be a bit different over the summer.  I will do my absolute best to post fun photos and such, but the amount will decrease to roughly 2 photos per week (unless time allows more).

Today I want to share a brief thought from Exodus, but first I'd love for you to read the lyrics to this Bethany Dillon song (Exodus):
Come, come fallen ones
Dance in the healing stream
He has faithfully kept you
Brought you out of captivity

Rejoice, rejoice with all your hearts
Sing Him a new song
That’s heard high on the windswept mountains
It will resound

Lead, Lord, with unfailing love
Those that You have ransomed
And we will sing out as we go on
Our God is faithful

Reflect, reflect on all your days
You weren’t so free then
Once you were all called slaves
But now, blessed children

Move, move your feet
Dance before the Lord
On to the Promised Land
On to your reward, sing

Lead, Lord, with unfailing love
Those that You have ransomed
And we will sing out as we go on
Our God is faithful

Our enemies are at the bottom of the sea, our enemies

Lead, Lord, with unfailing love
Those that You have ransomed
And we will sing out as we go on
Our God is faithful
Lead, Lord, with unfailing love
Those that You have ransomed
And we will sing out as we go on
Our God is faithful
So, this song is almost a recap of what the book of Exodus is all about, God taking the Israelites out of captivity so on and so forth...however, I wish to bring attention to one passage in chapter 16.  A summary of chapter 16:  The Israelites grumble about food, God provides, then the Israelites don't follow his instructions about the food (manna) and it, "bred worms and stank," they learned their lesson and followed God's commands about the manna.  There is more to the chapter, but that is the primary section I wish to think about.

How often is it that we each do this in our own lives.   We become dissatisfied with what God has given us He continueally shows Himself faithful.  We sin amidst His provision. We then return to His grace.

So today I wish to challange you all in this:  Trust God's faithfulness.
He is and always will be faithful.  Enjoy that truth!  He will provide what you need when you need it, trust Him and rely on Him completely.

I hope you have a marvelous day everyone!  Sorry for the short post!
I am now off to spend some time with the fellow SSTers on an outing to Bay Beach in Green Bay! Bring on fun times!

God Bless,

Megs

P.S.
Dear homies,
I love you and we will have to hang out at bay beach sometime!
