- We Love New Orleans + For Japan With Love -

Hey Everyone!
So, today I'm going to share two quick prayer requests:

1) Pray for Japan
We all have seen the news, heard the radio broadcasts, and watched the youtube videos of Japan's recent tragedies.  Pray for these people!  I cannot imagine the pain that each and every person is dealing with over there right now!  They need our prayers and our support!  Also, Utterly Engaged and Ever Ours have created this amazing fundraising site called: For Japan With Love.  On the site they have a link so that you can donate money that will go towards "ShelterBoxes."

[Each] ShelterBox provide[s] emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most. Each large green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. A whole box costs $1,000 (US), so we're hoping to raise enough to send 5 boxes.

Another fantastic part of this site includes "Bloggers Day of Silence."  The bloggers day of silence is tomorrow, March 18th.  Over eighty bloggers are participating, each with the same message: to raise awareness, gather funds, and support Japan.
Here are the guidelines:

1. Thursday, March 18th, no posts on your blog.
2. Post about it (spread the word!) before March 18th.
3. Tweet, Re-tweet, and Tweet again the link to: http://www.forjapanwithlove.com
4. Encourage people to donate!  This is a really simple way that we can make a difference in Japan by providing temporary shelter!  Let's do it!

2) Pray for The CEFC New Orleans Mission Team
Obviously the hurricane Katrina happened a number of years ago already, however there are still people rebuilding that need help!  I would love to have you all partner with our team and lift them up in prayer.  To help church members (and you!) see who all is going, I was asked to create a picture board of the team.  Here is a web version of the board:

I hope you all have an amazing evening, and that God will work in each of your hearts, as we join together to be the hands and feet of Christ.

God Bless,

Megs
